About Me and my Approach

​Hello, I’m Emily! I live with my husband Kyle and our two sons Ezra Clay (7) and Gordon Eston (4). We live in the coastal town of Shallotte NC, just a few minutes from beautiful Ocean Isle Beach.

I have been in the wedding industry for about 10 years now. First alongside my mother business as a full time planner, Venue manager, decorator and florist. Then with my own business that you see now in photography.

So trust me that I know just how much goes into your wedding day. I never take lightly the honor bestowed upon me to be chosen for such an important task. 

 As a photographer, I have a passion for capturing authentic moments and photos. My approach to posing is to always lead you and guide you but to give you photos that look as though I wasn't there. Just captures of a romantic day. Photos that feel like timeless memories in which you feel most at ease. Don't worry- we always have traditional smiles in the mix and I have a many traditional poses up my sleeve as well.

However, I have found over the years that photos that leave an imprint are ones that feel like life itself, love itself and that it the best way for me to describe my direction approach to posing. 

Let's talk about film- I LOVE FILM. Films color and texture is very distinguished and can not be replaced. It is timeless. This is why alongside my digital camera, on your wedding day I will be carrying one maybe two film cameras

A well rounded gallery, in my opinion has both digital perfection and film texture. It has perfect posed smiles but even more genuine moments.

Do you remember Kyle, that I mentioned above? My sweet husband! Well, he is also a videographer and entering in on our wedding packages starting in 2025. 

We love any opportunity that we get to be a husband and wife team on your wedding day. 

He may even tag along to your engagement shoot if you'd like!
